Getting Started with E-Charge
The E-Charge app, available on both iOS and Android, connects you to every E-Charge station in
the UAE. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play to start charging.
E-Charge now operates on a standalone app for a streamlined and enhanced experience. With the
new app, you can manage both public and home charging seamlessly, plus enjoy improved
reliability and regular updates.
- Create an Account: Install the app and follow the quick sign-up process. Be sure to add a
payment method to start charging immediately. - Add a Payment Method: Easily link a credit or debit card by selecting “+” next to
“Payment” in your account menu.
Yes, GST receipts are sent automatically to your registered email at the end of each session.
Finding and Using E-Charge Stations
Locate the nearest station via the E-Charge app. Each charger’s live availability is displayed to help
you plan your visit.
You can check real-time availability in the app, though station status may change as other users
arrive.
- AC Charging: Ideal for extended parking, AC chargers offer a cost-effective way to charge
while you go about your activities. - DC Fast Charging: DC chargers provide high-speed charging, perfect for quick stops to get
you back on the road faster.
Charging and Payment Information
Plug in, open the app, and select “Start Charging,” or use a registered RFID fob to begin.
To end the session, use the “End Session” option in the app, or unlock and unplug the car handle
directly.
Each station’s tariff can be viewed in the app under the selected charger location.
A temporary hold of AED 20 ensures you have sufficient funds to cover your session. This hold is
released shortly after charging ends, depending on your bank’s processing times.
Account and App Management
Yes, you can share login credentials or add RFID fobs for multiple users, each with their own linked
payment method.
Access all session history, including dates and amounts, in your account for easy tracking and
reference.
E-Charge is developing new payment solutions, including vouchers and prepaid options—stay
